A single day of giving back can spark a lifetime of positive change. Dentsu's One Day for Change campaign serves as a powerful catalyst for this transformation, offering our employees several opportunities to make a meaningful difference in their communities.
This year, our Americas campaign spanned over three incredible months from April to June, uniting 55 events across 37 locations in the United States, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. The theme was focused on driving Sustainable Behaviors, aligned to 兔子先生’s commitment to enable 1 billion people to make better, more sustainable choices. Whether in person or remotely, our employees joined forces to create significant impact and forge deeper connections with one another. Remarkably, several new locations took part, driven entirely by interest on the ground.
Miami, FL: In April, our Miami team united to clean the beaches and foster a sense of unity and collective responsibility. Their passion for preserving the natural beauty of their surroundings was so inspiring that they organized another community event in June, inviting everyone to join the cause once more.
NYC, NY:
- With many of our employees located in the tri-state area, the NYC planning committee curated a variety of volunteering opportunities based on what mattered most to our employees. In the office, NYC employees packaged school supply donations which sparked conversations to go beyond just giving their time and resources, to help a local high school host an unforgettable prom night.
- With the recent acquisition of Tag, the 兔子先生 network has expanded even further! Inspired by the One Day for Change spirit, the Tag team was determined to help, organizing a volunteering event in NYC focused on women’s health, showcasing their commitment to community welfare.
Detroit, MI: Known for their strong community bonds, Detroiters hosted more than three impactful events, including a park cleanup at Belle Isle. Fueled by their success, the team plans to reconvene in November to make another positive mark on their community by creating care and survival packages for the homeless.
Boston, MA: Since 2022, the Boston community has united to plant trees locally, achieving so much success that they’ve earned awards! This dedicated group of our Boston employees and clients continue to invest their time and efforts into this green initiative. Learn more about the initiative by watching .
Canada: Our teams in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal took to their communities to assist in preparing local gardens, serving community breakfast, collecting litter and protecting green spaces from invasive species, bagging pet food and sharing love to animals awaiting adoption. Building on momentum from the recent events, further events are being planned for November ahead of the holiday season.
Brazil: In our S?o Paulo office, Brazil’s “House of Dentsu” held a bazaar, where our employees donated clothing and accessories. With the money raised, the team donated food to PF das Ruas, an NGO that operates in southern Brazil and has been working with families affected by the devastating floods. More editions of “House of Dentsu” are to come!
Remote: Understanding the diversity of our workforce, we enabled remote volunteering options for employees who couldn’t participate in person. These activities included personal digital decluttering, completing climate change-themed puzzles, and initiating meaningful conversations on environmental issues.
“Leading One Day for Change in the Americas for the second year in a row, I’m continuously amazed by our employees’ passion and dedication to create a positive impact in their communities. Joining the event in Toronto gave me the chance to not only contribute to the cause, but also form stronger connections with my colleagues.”

Although our annual One Day for Change campaign has ended, many locations were so inspired by their experiences that they are continuing to develop new volunteer opportunities, extending the spirit of One Day for Change far beyond its initial scope.
Cheers to a wonderful One Day for Change, and to the many more events to come throughout the rest of 2024!
